Sabrina & Sacha – Sept 6, 2009

Sabrina & Sacha started the wedding planning process looking for something different, they didn’t want the typical wedding and how it could it be?  Hindu and Jewish wedding ceremonies followed by a reception all in one day, not your average wedding :).  Sacha & Sabrina had already booked their wedding venue – Atlantis, a gorgeous downtown venue with the beautiful Toronto skyline.  We started with trying to fill the vendor gap, looking for the perfect photographer and a videographer that suited everyone’s needs, we sourced and negotiated these vendor contracts for the couple, saving them over $2700.  Once our major vendors were booked, we focused on how to take advantage of the beauty in our venue.

We wanted to keep the decor simple and elegant, trying not to hide the floor to ceiling windows surrounding the entire hall.  We suggested to have a tent like mandap and chuppa, open on all sides to let the sunshine come through.  The chairs are wrapped in gold taffeta sashes, matching the curtains in the room.  For the evening, a simple backdrop with crystals and round, white lanterns hanging from the ceiling.  The tables linens are upgraded and the centrepieces are made of 4 different sized low vases with candles, orchids and hydrangeas.  We treated guests to a rooftop cocktail hour where they were able to enjoy the downtown Toronto skyline.  Every detail of the evening was planned to accentuate the beauty of the venue.

One week before the event we ran into some major unforeseen issues, both Sacha and Sabrina were able to rely on us to provide the support and help they need to sort things out.  As Sabrina put it: “You are my Indian Fairy Godmother”.  Your event is our passion; it is just as important for us that everything run well and we will do whatever it takes to make sure that happens.

On the wedding day our team was onsite from 6:30am to 12:30am the next day, there for every step, managing vendors, guests, family pics, food, etc.  The guest list was not finalized till minutes before the reception started.  Our team stepped in to help stall guests and create the table seating cards.  Who else would be there to support you and your family this much?
